多年來(lái),雅高酒店集團(tuán)一直致力于推動(dòng)環(huán)保事業(yè)。集團(tuán)通過(guò)“21世紀(jì)地球”圍繞四大戰(zhàn)略綱領(lǐng)和兩個(gè)優(yōu)先關(guān)注點(diǎn)展示了至2020年的雄心壯志。

“21世紀(jì)地球”(Planet 21 - Acting Here!) 是雅高酒店的企業(yè)社會(huì)責(zé)任計(jì)劃,我們?nèi)蛩械木频昱c品牌均予以落實(shí)。為了解決雅高酒店面臨的主要問(wèn)題并推動(dòng)創(chuàng)新,該計(jì)劃定義了一系列需要在2020年之前實(shí)現(xiàn)的目標(biāo)。該計(jì)劃共含六大主要方面:其中四個(gè)針對(duì)我們的主要利益相關(guān)方,包括員工、客戶、合作方(酒店業(yè)主與供應(yīng)商)及酒店當(dāng)?shù)厣鐓^(qū),另外兩個(gè)針對(duì)我們優(yōu)先關(guān)注的領(lǐng)域,即餐飲與建筑。

 

為了實(shí)現(xiàn)這些承諾,更制定了21世紀(jì)地球行動(dòng)計(jì)劃 (Planet 21 in Action)。該計(jì)劃設(shè)定了更高的目標(biāo)且更加符合當(dāng)?shù)厍闆r與實(shí)際操作。新計(jì)劃更靈活,鼓勵(lì)多方參與,使每家酒店都能設(shè)定自己的目標(biāo)并制定自己的行動(dòng)方案。通用的基礎(chǔ)要求包括16 項(xiàng)必須采取的措施,這是酒店必須完成的初級(jí)承諾(青銅等級(jí))。如需提升等級(jí)(升至白銀、黃金和白金),酒店需要選擇各自希望在更廣范圍內(nèi)實(shí)施的措施。該系統(tǒng)鼓勵(lì)酒店根據(jù)自身所面臨的最重要的問(wèn)題來(lái)確定方向,同時(shí)加強(qiáng)員工與客人對(duì)社會(huì)及環(huán)境的責(zé)任感。

 

在雅高酒店入住,我們會(huì)號(hào)召客人重復(fù)使用毛巾,因?yàn)橹貜?fù)使用毛巾而節(jié)約的水和能源的資金用于植樹(shù)基金。由于為地球植樹(shù)項(xiàng)目,從2009年至今我們已經(jīng)在全球范圍內(nèi)種植550萬(wàn)棵樹(shù),并且我們承諾在2021年前在全球范圍內(nèi)種植1000萬(wàn)棵樹(shù)。

 

 
 
 
  " Planet 21 " Project of Accor Group

The AccorHotels has been a committed group for many years, and has constantly worked to redefine boundaries. The Planet 21 programme demonstrates the Group's ambitious goals for 2020, based around four strategic points and two priorities.

 

Planet 21 - Acting Here! is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of AccorHotels, implemented in all hotels /all brands across the world. It sets a series of objectives for 2020 in order to tackle AccorHotels’ main issues and drive innovation. The program is structured around 6 pillars: our 4 main stakeholders (employees, clients, partners [hotels’ owners and suppliers] and local communities)  + 2 priority fields (food & beverage and buildings).

 

 

In order to achieve our commitments, we defined Planet 21 in Action.  The new system aims higher and is more accommodating as regards local specifics and operational realities. It is more flexible and is based on a participative approach allowing each hotel to set its own objectives and map out its own action plan. A common baseline comprising 16 mandatory actions sets a demanding first level of commitment (bronze status). To upgrade their status (to silver, gold and platinum), hotels then select the actions they wish to implement from a wider range of initiatives. This system encourages ownership of the issues at stake as well as employee and guest accountability regarding social and environmental responsibility.

 

At AccorHotels, we ask our customers to reuse their towels. Savings made on water and energy are used to fund tree planting. Thanks to Plant for the Planet program, since 2009, we already planted 5.5 million trees around the world, and we committed to plant 10 million trees by 2021.

  Global Sustainable Marine Procurement Target of Hilton

Sustainable Marine Procurement Target of Hilton: procurement of endangered species identified by the WWF are strictly forbidden and seafood should be procured in the way that the formal channels are sustainable and responsible. By 2022, the products is to be purchased by Hilton from MSC-certified fishing industry and ASC-certified farms, accounting for at least 25% of total global seafood procurement. Other channels of Hilton for procurement of seafood include: fishing industry and farms that both are endeavoring to obtain MSC and ASC certification, comprehensive fishing industry, projects for the improvement of seafood and those green enterprises labeled in the guidance category of seafood of the WWF. The WWF will help Hilton measure and update on its process to ensure that the company go forward with the goal. And Hilton banned the sale of shark’s fin in restaurants and eating places in 2014. In 2015, Hilton was the first hotel in the industry to receive MSC Chain of Custody certification in Europe and Asia. In the Americas, Hilton also purchases shrimp products from Sysco that is committed to the sustainable development of seafood.

  Marriott International’s Project of "Nature Convergence--- Drink from the Source"

Marriott International with the Global Environmental Protection Organization and Conservation International are working together for the conservation of freshwater resources , one of the most concerned issues of environmental protection in the world. For example, deforestation for firewood, unreasonable using of fertilizer and pesticides as well as irresponsible abuse of land are all transformed into that activities, which conform to the requirements of environmental protection and sustainability, such as mushroom cultivation and bee raising, to reduce deforestation, conserve soil and water, and reduce pollution in the upstream of river for improving water quality in the downstream of river and urban areas.

  Scandic Hotels to Stop Using Plastic Straws and Cocktail Sticks

Scandic will begin phasing out plastic straws, cocktail sticks and the plastic lids for the take away coffee mugs at all of its hotels. Scandic is also evaluating different eco-friendly replacement products and will offer eco-friendly straws at its bars and restaurants for guests who need them, for example, people with special needs.

 

Scandic Hotels, has decided to stop using plastic straws and cocktail sticks in all of its hotels to help reducing the harmful impact these products have on the environment.

 

 

'As a part of our sustainability program, we're looking to remove all single-use disposable items made of plastic. In total, we're taking approximately 1.3 million straws and 120 000 cocktail sticks out of circulation on a yearly basis. We are also replacing the plastic lids for our take away coffee mugs with biodegradable ones', says Lena Bjurner, SVP HR & Sustainability at Scandic Hotels Group.

 

Plastic waste is one of our biggest environmental challenges. Different organizations around the world has estimated that there are over 150 million tons of plastic in the world's oceans and that every year, about one million birds and more than 100 000 sea mammals die from eating or getting tangled in plastic waste. Worse still, according to a new report by the UK Government Office for Science, the amount of plastic in our oceans is expected to triple between 2015 and 2025.

 

 

 

'This is a small but important step for Scandic to take. We are an industry leader within sustainability and rightly proud of how we pioneered the pick-up-your-towel behavior and our fight to reduce food waste. These products that we are phasing out are fossil-fuel products that use up the planet's resources and are difficult to recycle, making them extremely detrimental to our environment. It's about time we stop using them', says Lena.

  MGM Resorts International and Invenergy Announce the Development of a 100-Megawatt Solar Array

At full production, the solar array in the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone in Nevada will provide up to 90 percent of total daytime power needs across MGM Resorts' 13 Las Vegas Strip locations.

 

MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) and Chicago-based Invenergy, North America's largest independent renewable energy company, have partnered on a new solar photovoltaic array, which will generate 100 megawatts of clean, renewable energy. The MGM-Invenergy Solar Project will be located 25 miles north of Las Vegas and MGM Resorts will purchase all the energy generated by the project to help power its 13 properties on the Las Vegas Strip. The project will be operational by the end of 2020. This project is in line with MGM Resorts' longstanding leadership and commitment to reduce its consumption of the Earth's limited resources.

 

 

Over the past year, MGM Resorts considered a broad array of potential renewable energy projects in Nevada. Invenergy was selected for its strong track record of success in the renewable energy industry, as well as its ability to offer MGM a customized solution. The company also provided a site in an ideal location, which will allow the project to be developed in the most environmentally conscious manner.

 

Solar energy offers cost-competitive power with zero carbon emissions, providing tremendous value and long-term certainty for customers looking to minimize their impact on the environment."

 

 

The MGM-Invenergy Solar Project will be made up of approximately 336,000 panels on 640 acres of land within the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone. The project will produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 27,000 homes. Aside from the renewable energy being used directly by MGM Resorts' Nevada properties, the project will also yield other significant benefits for the state of Nevada. Construction of the project will employ approximately 350 workers. Once operational, the project will generate approximately $20 million of sales and property tax revenues as well as indirect economic benefits to local businesses like hotels and restaurants, while also reducing carbon emissions.

 

MGM Resorts' properties line the Las Vegas Strip from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino to Circus Circus Las Vegas, and include some of the most recognizable resort brands in the industry including the Bellagio, Mirage, Aria and MGM Grand. With its roots firmly planted in the Las Vegas area, this array furthers MGM Resorts' commitment to Las Vegas and the community. By building the array close to the Las Vegas Strip, it will enable MGM Resorts to directly use the electricity generated from the array.

 

In 2016, MGM Resorts completed the expansion of the nation's largest contiguous rooftop solar array. The 26,000 panel, 8.3-megawatt solar array is located on the roof of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
